In the first phase of the programme, a total of 35 high schools were targeted A nominal registration fee of Rs.30 (for all 3 months) is charged from the students. A maximum of 30 students from each school are enrolled into the course. In the second phase the programme expanded to 45 schools and in the third phase it reached to 75 schools.

Nature of the programme

The programme lays emphasis on four specific aspects: Listening, comprehension, reading and most importantly speaking. The Organisation coordinators monitor the programme and the teachers evaluate the students’ progress on the basis of their performance in module wise weekly tests.
